Abstract

The stability of chlorpromazine in heparinized whole blood and plasma was investigated at three different concentrations (5, 20, and 50 ng/ml) after storage at −20°C for 0, 7, 14, 28, 56, and 84 days. A statistical analysis was done to determine whether there was any significant difference between the concentration of chlorpromazine in these body fluids as determined on day one versus each of the later dates of analysis. The results indicate that no significant difference was found over the course of these investigations.
