Abstract

Hypertension is an important risk factor in the development and progression of cardiovascular disease. Renal denervation (RDN) has been shown to reduce blood pressure (BP) and muscle sympathetic nerve activity in patients with resistant hypertension (RH) [1,2]. Irrespective of the effects of RDN on BP, there is little data to date to describe the impact of this procedure on other systems and organs.
