Abstract

Recovery annealing was studied in Fe-0.7Si electrical steel processed by cold rolling. The samples were annealed at temperatures of 300°C, 400°C, and 500°C for 30, 60, and 90 min in inert nitrogen atmosphere. No samples suffered recrystallization. From these samples, magnetic losses and the value of yield strength by means of tensile test were obtained. From these data the higher sensitivity to the recovery of the magnetic properties characterized by the magnetic losses when compared with the mechanical properties represented by the yield strength could be seen.
