Abstract

Objective To study the effect of psychological nursing intervention on reducing pain degree of patients with ear nose throat(ENT) operation. Methods A total of 84 patients with ENT operation were divided into observation group and control group with 42 cases each group.The control group were given ENT routine nursing intervention, and the observation group were treated combine with psychological nursing intervention.The pain degree, analgesics utilization ratio, SAS, SDS, satisfaction degree were compared between two groups. Results The total pain rate of observation group was significantly lower than that of control group (11.90% vs 21.69%) (P< 0.05); 72 h postoperatively analgesics utilization, 24 h VAS scores , 72 h VAS scores were significantly lower than those of control group(42.86% vs 69.05%, 2.31±0.49 vs 3.23±0.52, 1.89±0.41 vs 2.74±0.38) (P<0.05); the satisfaction degree was significantly higher than that of control group (90.35±8.52 vs 73.61±7.34); SAS, SDS were significantly lower than that of control group(23.64±5.34 vs 38.75±6.85, 25.34±5.14 vs 32.53±6.69) (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusion Psychological nursing intervention could help to reduce postoperative pain degree, alleviate the negative emotion and improve patients' satisfaction.
