Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of psychological nursing intervention in patients with acute puerperal mastitis.Methods From February 2011 to November 2013 in our hospital 200 patients with acute puerperal mastitis were included in the study, in which 100 patients of the observation group with psychological intervention measures while the control group of 100 patients with conventional care measures.The quality of life and psychological changes of the two groups were compared.Results After treatment, in the observation group the scores of SAS, SDS were significantly improved ( P〈0.05 ) , and the quality of life of each dimension in the observation group were significantly improved (P〈0.05) .Conclusions The psychological nursing can help alleviate the negative emotions and anxiety for postpartum patients with acute mastitis which will help improve the quality of life of patients, and it is worthy of clinical application.
