Abstract
1. The wall thickness (1–3 mm) has no effect on the mechanical properties of pipes of D16 alloy. 2. Increase in the extent of cold deformation before tempering to 70% raises the strength characteristics of the pipes considerably; the value of the relative elongation hereby is in accordnace with GOST 4773-49. Further increase in the degree of deformation does not improve the mechanical properties of the pipes. 3. Minimum values of the degree of preliminary deformation which ensure obtaining yield point values meeting GOST 4773-49 have been established.
