Abstract

Abstract The cloud-point temperature (T) of an aqueous hexa(oxyethylene) dodecyl ether solution was determined as a function of the pressure (P) and the composition (x2). The volume (ΔV) and entropy (ΔS) changes for the separation of the surfactant phase from the water phase were estimated from the T-P-x2 relation. Both ΔV and ΔS were positive.
