Abstract

Maklene Kramer (St. Louis University School of Nursing, St. Louis, Missouri; Ph.D. Stanford University, Stanford, California) is assistant dean and associate profesor of the University of California School of Nursing in San Francisco. She is interested in developing teaching strategies which focus on helping nurses to become creative problem solvers. Elizabeth Tegan (University of Massachusetis School of Nursing. Amherst, Massachusetts; M.S. University of California in San Francisco) at the time of this study Mrs. Tegan was a faculty member at the University of California School of Nursing. Janet Knauber (Boston University School of Nursing, Boston, Massachusetts; M.S. University of Califronia in San Franscisco) is a lecturer at the University of California School of Nursing in San Francisco.
