Abstract

The effect of BAP (5 x 10 −5 M) and ABA (10 ‒4 M) treatment of detached pumpkin cotyledons on the phosphorylation of ribosomal proteins were studied. It has been found, that BAP increased the phosphorylation level of a basic ribosomal protein S 6 of the small subunit. The stimulating effect of BAP was pronounced after 24 h treatment of detached cotyledons with cytokinin. ABA inhibited the activation of S 6 phosphorylation caused by BAP.
