Abstract

Baker's yeast cytosine deaminase is inhibited by nucleoside mono-, di- and tri-phosphates. When CMP and CDP are used as inhibitors the shapes and the interaction coefficents ( n′) of the inhibition curve strictly depend on both the H + concentration and the number of negative charges on the inhibitor molecule.
