Abstract
The molecular conjugation length of π system ia an important factor to dominate the magnitude of molecular first hyperpolarizability β. Based on the principles of the two-level model and solvatochromism, βμ of measured molecules can be estimated from the relative slope of βμ-F(ω) linear relationship.
