Abstract

Carotid artery stenting (CAS) is often used for patients at high risk for endarterectomy. Although performed with increasing frequency, limited data are available comparing transradial or transbrachial (tr/tbCAS) access to established CAS approaches. Therefore, our objective was to examine the effect of a tr/tbCAS approach vs a transfemoral (tfCAS) or transcarotid (TCAR) approach on the outcomes after CAS.
