Abstract

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of online lecture learning characteristics on learning motivation, class satisfaction, and academic achievement of dental hygiene students and provide basic data for the design and operation of online lectures in future courses. Methods: This study was carried through the distribution of online questionnaire on learning motivation, online class satisfaction, and learning achievement with students who agreed with the purpose of this study, among dental hygiene students in Busan who agreed with the purpose of this study. Results: The variables of the online learning characteristics that influence learning motivation were the online lecture education effect and school system while the variables influencing the online class satisfaction were the online lecture education effect and school system. The variables of the online lecture characteristics that significantly influence the learning achievement were found to be the online lecture effect, school system, and homework. Conclusions: The results show that the higher the educational effect and academic system of online lectures, the higher the learning motivation and online class satisfaction while the higher the educational effect and academic system of online lectures and homework, the higher the learning achievement.
