Abstract

The effect of small-angle multiple scattering on a number of general structural parameters and on the segment distribution function has been studied using a representative correlation function of the type γ = exp (−r/lp). The results show that size parameters can be severely underestimated if the presence of multiple scattering is not taken into consideration and that the exact form of the segment distribution function is considerably affected even if the contributions from multiple scattering are relatively small.
