In the past, this process was veryilowly i'ue to limited dereropment inneeds .Most renewal works occurred as a response to destruction cas"a ry naturJdisasters or wars This was true until the industrial revolution which wasaccompanied with a dramatic changes in transportation systems and the necessity to erect wide sheets in most historic centerc .ln many cases ,these works did not take inconsideration the importance of spatial attributes of such centers .
