Abstract

The effect of mixing conditions on the properties of polymer mixtures of low-density polyethylene with vulcanizates and rubber powder based on ternary ethylene–propylene–diene elastomer was studied. Polymers were mixed by two techniques: using a rotor disperser by high-temperature shift deformations and in a Brabender mixer. The analysis of mechanical characteristics of rubber plastics manufactured using different types of equipment showed that deformation and strength properties of rubber plastics mixed in a rotor disperser are higher compared to those made in a Brabender mixer.
