Abstract

The internal friction and DC electrical resistivity of amorphously decomposed binary sodium silicate glasses containing from 4.0 to 18.4 mole % Na2O have been measured. The observed phase separation has little effect upon the internal friction of these glasses. The magnitude and temperature behaviour of the DC electrical resistivity is affected by the degree and type of amorphous decomposition.
