Abstract

Applying the AdS/CFT correspondence, we study the entanglement entropy in strongly coupled $\mathcal{N}=4$ supersymmetric Yang-Mills (SYM) plasma under the influence of a (constant) magnetic field $\mathcal{B}$. We consider the entangling surface transverse and parallel to $ \mathcal{B}$, respectively. For both cases, it is shown that the inclusion of $ \mathcal{B}$ enhances the entanglement entropy. Moreover, we observe that in this case the entanglement entropy does not exhibit a transition due to $ \mathcal{B}$.
