Abstract

1. 1. Induced liver damage in Swiss Webster mice decisively decreased the latency and increased the frequency of oral tumor development. 2. 2. An explanation of the role of induced liver damage on oral tumor development has been relegated to its interference with benzpyrene metabolism. 3. 3. The role of alcohol in oral tumorigenesis has been described. 4. 4. Animals painted with a 20 per cent composite cigarette smoke condensate—acetone solution, with or without induced liver damage, have not as yet shown evidence of tumor development.
