Abstract

The aim of this research is to reveal the effect of linguistics-based text analysis activities on the attitudes of secondary school 7th grade students towards Turkish course. The study was carried out as an action research based on identifying and solving the problem in any part of the teaching processes with micro groups. The study group of the research consists of 17 7th grade students studying in Gümüşhane province, which was determined through critical situation sampling, one of the purposive sampling methods. Attitude scale towards Turkish lesson was used as a data collection tool in the research. Data were collected before and after the implementation of linguistics-based activities prepared for narrative and artistic texts. The analysis of the data was analyzed with the dependent sample t test and Wilcoxon signed ranks test used in the analysis of replicate measurements for the same groups. The results obtained are that linguistics-based text analysis activities have positively changed the attitudes of the students towards the Turkish course.
