Injection into a rabbit of a dose of leucocytic pyrogen derived from 8.7×10 8 granulocytes elicits after 24 hrs a significant increase in fibrinogen level. This result favours the view that leucocytic pyrogen has a role in the regulation of fibrinogen synthesis in rabbits.
