Abstract
Abstract This paper examines the effects of free-stream turbulence on mean, fluctuating and peak pressures as well as cross-correlation of fluctuating pressures on blunt flat plates over a much larger range of turbulence integral scale than previously studied. The significance of the present study is to improve the understanding of bluff body aerodynamics in the environment of very large scale turbulent flows such as that found in the atmospheric boundary layer.
