Abstract
The thermal decomposition of γ-irradiated strontium nitrate was studied by dynamic thermogravimetry. The reaction order, activation energy, frequency factor and entropy of activation were computed by means of the Coats-Redfern method and were compared with those for the unirradiated salt. It has been suggested that NO2 formed under irradiation catalyzes the decomposition.
