Abstract

The study aimed to assess the effect of Internet on moral, social and spiritual values of students of higher education centers and universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran among students in Mazandaran. Type of the study from purpose is applicable, from method is descriptive, from background is survey and population of the study was students of higher education centers and universities in Mazandaran that they were more than 100,000 people. The sample included 384 people that have been determined in a cluster and random way according to Krejcie and Morgan table. Data collection tool of the study was 3 questionnaires. Also, to examine the hypothesis of the study, data obtained from the questionnaire were analyzed through descriptive and deductive statistics (normality test and Spearman correlation coefficient test). The results of the study showed that there is a significant relationship between the use of Internet and educational status, family status, social status and personal status. Also, there is a significant relationship between change of students’ social values and use of Internet. Other than there is no significant relationship between change in the social and educational status, family status, personal status, and only there is a significant relationship between the change in the social values and social status of students. There is a significant difference between students' social values.
