Abstract
We derive the Ginzburg-Landau equation for 2D d-wave superconductors with 4-fold symmetry, taking account of the internal orbital motion of the pairing electrons. The two d-wave components with d x 2− y 2− and d xy -wave symmetry are mixed under a magnetic field perpendicular to the 2D plane. The mixing of the two d-wave components induces a significant paramagnetic effect in the strong-field region.
