Abstract

Until now most studies of general anesthetics have been made on their effects on the central nervous system. Claude Bernard pointed out that narcosis causes alteration in tissues as well as in cells. There is little information available about the effect of modern inhalation anesthetics like Fluothane and Enflurane on epithelial transport systems[1–7].
