Abstract

Objective To discuss the effect of individualized systematic training on the functional recovery of elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis.Methods Totaled of 100 patients were divided into two groups randomly (N =50).The patients in the control group received verbal instructions from the nurse and training by oneself,and the patients in the observation group were conducted with individualized systematic training according to the patient's body and joint function.The ability of activity of two groups were evaluated and compared by Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ) and knee function rating scale after the training 0 months,1 month,3 months,6 months.Results HAQ scores were no significant difference at 0 months and 1 month between two groups,and at 3 months,6 months there were significant differences (P < 0.05),the score of knee function in the observation group was significantly higher than that in control group (P < 0.05).Conclusions Implementation of the individual systematic training can improve the ability of activity,relieve pain and improve life quality in the elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis.
