Abstract

Abstract 1. 1. When studied by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis method, non-specific esterase activity in the pancreas of Didelphis albiventris was observed to be increased in animals longer than 90 mm crown-rump length. 2. 2. The administration of hydrocortisone acetate to suckling opposum young resulted in zymograms in which the esterase bands presented the same pattern as that observed in opossums longer than 90 mm CR length.
