Abstract

Abstract The study has been conducted to evaluate the effect of probiotic preparation on growth performance, survivability and development of normal microflora in digestive tract of Ross 308 mixed-sex broilers. Application of homoprobiotic preparation as food additive in the amount of 109– 1010 CFU per g of feed, at the age of 1–35 days, resulted in weight gain by 3.9–7.8%, in increase flock homogeneity in flocks by 10–20% and survivability – by 11–20%, decrease feed expenses per g of live weight by 11–16%, in different variants. The best combination of weight gain, homogeneity and survivability was reached on administration of probiotic preparation together with drinking water. European efficiency factor made up in control 231, and in the best variant – 355. Probiotic preparation has positive effect on formation of poultry gut microflora. The study of microbial composition of digestive tract of 42 day-old chickens has shown that in variants with probiotic preparation, the CFU of useful microorganisms exceeded by 2–3 orders in comparison with the control. Pathogenic microflora was not displayed in samples. Positive effects of application of homoprobiotic preparation created by us as poultry feed additive on formation of gut microflora, stimulation of growth, improvement of viability confirm the opportunity for application “Probiogeo” in poultry farming.
