Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of GRDP, regional government expenditures, and minimum wages on the HDI in North Sumatra Province. The data used in this study is secondary data for 2015-2021 which is accessed at www.bps.go.id. The data analysis method used is panel data regression analysis using Eviews 10 Software. The results show that GRDP has a positive and significant effect on the HDI in the districts/cities of North Sumatra Province, while regional government expenditures have a positive and significant effect on the HDI, and the minimum wages have a positive and significant effect on the HDI. Simultaneously, GRDP, regional spending, and minimum wages have a positive and significant effect on the HDI in the districts/cities of North Sumatra Province. Regency/city governments in North Sumatra Province are expected to be more consistent and intensive in increasing the HDI, through programs related to economic, health and education aspects.
