Abstract

Spectroscopic properties of fabricated Tb2O3 doped B2O3 – Li2O – Al2O3 glasses were studied before and after gamma irradiation doses 20 kGy at the rate of 3.65 kGy/hr. Non-crystalline nature of fabricated glass matrix confirmed by XRD. The obtained results were analyzed by comparing before and after radiation with the Cobalt source to study the structural variation of the sample. The Raman spectra were recorded at room temperature from 400 to 4000 cm−1 wave number range. The photoluminescence spectra at different emission and excitation wavelengths have been recorded. The variation has been discussed with respect Tb2O3 concentration
