Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of using fermented shrimp shell meal in feed on the growth of Asian sea bass. This study was designed with a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications thus the treatment obtained was A (feed without fermented shrimp shell meal); B (Feed using 15% fermented shrimp shell meal); C (Feed using 20% fermented shrimp shell meal) and D (Feed using 25% fermented shrimp shell meal). Parameters observed were daily growth rate and survival. The results showed that the percentage of substitution of fish meal with fermented shrimp shell meal was 25% in the feed ration resulting in the highest daily growth rate of 0.013 grams and 100% survival in rearing Asian sea bass (Lates calcalifer).
