Abstract

Exogenous testosterone is increasingly used as an adjunct to in-vitro fertilization (IVF) in an attempt to improve follicle count, but the effect on small antral follicle count (AFC) is not known. Our objective was to determine if administration of exogenous testosterone prior to gonadotropin stimuation for IVF increases the number of small antral follicles (2-5 mm) in patients with a low starting AFC at risk for poor response to treatment.
