Abstract
Small signal gain of stimulated Coherent Bremsstrahlung in a crystal is calculated. The impact of the energy and angular spreads of an electron beam on the gain are analyzed. A large enhancement of the Coherent Bremsstrahlung gain is shown compared with the noncoherent one. The advantages of the Coherent Bremsstrahlung mechanism with respect to the other free electron schemes are discussed.
