Abstract
The effect of the electron scavengers SF6 and N2O on the γ-radiolysis of gaseous H2S has been studied. Neither scavenger lowered the radiation yield of H2, G(H2). With added N2O, nitrogen was produced, though not in the amount Ge, the ion pair yield in H2S. Possible explanations of the findings are discussed.
