Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of different kinds of proteinin rats with adriamycin-induced nephrotic syndrome(NS). Methods A rat model of nephrotic syndrome was induced after tail intravenous injections(6.0mg/kg).NS rats were randomly divided into three groups:group A were treated soybean protein isolate (SPI) which contain isoflavones 3.4mg/g protein;group B were treated soybean protein isolate which didnt contain isoflavones and group C with casein.group D wre treated by 0.9% NaCl as normal control.several indexes was examined:serum biochemistry(TG、Tch、TP、ALB、HDL、LDL、Ca、Fe),Urine Protein, kidney function indexes(BUN、Scr),kidney antionxidation indexes (SOD、MDA、GSH-PX、NO)light microscopy And electron microscopy. Results Hyperlipidemia、Hypoalbuminemia and proteinuria were observed in NS rats.In group A,Tch and TG were lower than those of group B and C.TP and ALB had no obvious change in NS rats.NS rats.NS rats all observed the hurt of kidney function. But group A and C were better than group B.Examining SOD、MDA、GSH-PX and NO indicated that group C was the best in NS rats.Morphologic indexes including light microscopy and electron microscopy all note widespread fusion of foot processes and activation of podocytes, loss of foot process architecture.Group A wrer better than group B And C. Conclusions SPI (containing 3.4mg isoflavones per germ protein)can protect NS rats from being hurted.
