Abstract

In this study, the effects of pH and temperature on active two Streptomyces sp. against F. subglutinans were investigated. Streptomyces sp. isolates C-11 and C-26 were grown in submerged cultures for determination of growth curve and preparation of crude extract for further biological characterisations. Activity reached maximum at 9 and 4 days in rotary cultures for isolates C-26 and C-11, respectively. The results effects of different pH and temperature showed that these isolates were tolerant to high temperatures and the most antagonistic effects on fungi are investigated in alkaline conditions.
