The effect of Diammonium Glycyrrhizinate injection combined with tiopronin on serum levels of ALT, TBIL, ALB, and quality of life in patients with chronic hepatitis B

Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of Diammonium Glycyrrhizinate injection combined with tiopronin on serum levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), total bilirubin (TBIL), albumin (ALB), and quality of life in patients with chronic hepatitis B. Methods 147 patients with chronic hepatitis B in our hospital from February 2015 to April 2017 were selected, and were divided into the study group, the control group A, and the control group B according to the random number table method, 49 cases in each group. The control group A was treated with Diammonium Glycyrrhizinate injection, the control group B was treated with tiopronin, and the study group was treated with Diammonium Glycyrrhizinate injection combined with tiopronin. The treatment effect and adverse reactions of the three groups were observed and analyzed. The changes of serum ALT, TBIL, ALB levels and quality of life were compared among the three groups before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate of the study group was 91.84%, much higher than 61.22% of the control group A and 71.43% of the control group B, with statistically significant difference (χ2=12.641, P 0.05). After treatment, one-way analysis of variance showed that there were statistically significant differences in serum ALT, TBIL, ALB levels, and the score of quality life among the three groups (F1=31.751, F2=4.018, F3=9.808, F4=0.719; P 0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in the incidences of elevated blood pressure, headache, and injection site pain among the three groups (χ21=2.056, χ22=0.414, χ23=1.014; P>0.05). Conclusion Diammonium Glycyrrhizinate injection combined with tiopronin can significantly reduce the serum levels of ALT and TBIL in patients with chronic hepatitis B, improve serum ALB level, further improve the treatment effect, and improve the quality of life, with high safety.
