Abstract

The effect of copper- and nickel based catalysts on the pyrolysis of polytetrafluoroethylene This research is an exploratory investigation into the catalytic reformation of polytetrafluoroethylene pyrolysis products. The work focused on the selective production of hexafluoropropylene and octafluorocyclobutane from PTFE waste and was conducted via the hyphenated techniques TGA-FTIR and TGA-GC/MS.
