Abstract

The paper presents the first ionization potentials from the core 1s22s22p63s23p63d10 along the isoelectronic sequence and also energy levels of ions in the Co-like isoelectronic sequence. On the basis of the relativistic perturbation theory with model zero approximation, energy levels are calculated for ions in the FeI isoelectronic sequence for all states of the configurations 3d8 and 3p53d9 for nuclear charges Z = 37-84. Special attention is paid to the study of the role of the effects of core polarization by outer core vacancies. The accuracy of the present calculation permits an analysis of the quality of the available experimental data, their smoothing and high-precision prediction of the position of energy levels of Fe-like ions up to Z = 60.
