Abstract

Wideband LFM signals are widely used in phased array radar systems. When the instantaneous bandwidth is large, requirements on the amplitude and phase-frequency characteristics of the system are difficult to meet. In this paper, the model of amplitude and phase distortion is discussed using Paired Echoes Theory and Stationary Phase Principle. Then its influence on one-dimensional range profile imaging is analyzed, and he validity of the theoretical analysis is verified by numerical experiments. Also, considering the characteristic that there are many modules in phased array radar, the method of multi-module synthesis is used to improve the image quality in the case of distortion.
