Abstract

AbstractA molecular organic conductor was synthesized and used as electrolyte material, which can provide dual channels for triiodide/hole transportation in solid state dye sensitized solar cells. The introduction of additives into this electrolyte system further improved device performance. Electrochemical impedance spectrum revealed that a small quantity of antimony salt (N(PhBr)3SbCl6) or iodine improved remarkably the charge transfer at the TiO2/dye/electrolyte interface. Incident photon‐to‐current conversion efficiency also confirmed the positive effects of additives on the photoelectrical performance in this electrolyte system.
