Abstract

An investigation has been made of the effect of a magnetic field of about 5000 gauss on the linear rate of crystallization from supersaturated solutions of sodium thiosulphate and nickel sulphate. The field had no appreciable effect in the case of sodium thiosulphate. Nickel sulphate showed a slightly increased rate of crystallization in the field.
