Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a fresh fruit and vegetable delivery on the health and independence of seniors. The habitual consumption of fruits and vegetables (FV this was complemented by cooking sessions in a community kitchen. In this study, health benefits as well as the impact on independence were set to be extrapolated from change in Likert scale scores, for both dietary intakes and the perception of well-being and independence.Findings: A notable increase in FV this will benefit not only the nutrition community but also public health policy makers.
