Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical effect of nursing intervention for reducing unplanned extubation among children with endotracheal intubation.Methods A total of 120 patients with endotracheal intubation were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group in ICU of our hospital.The control group (60 cases) was given routine care,while the treatment group (60 cases) was given nursing intervention based on the control group.The occurrence rates of unplanned extubation in two groups were compared,and the reasons of unplanned extubation were summarized.Results The occurrence rate of unplanned extubation in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group,difference had statistics meaning (P < 0.05).Conclusions Nursing intervention can decrease the incidence of unplanned extubation in children with endotracheal intubation and ensure the safety of children,thus achieve the optimal quality of nursing effective management.
