Abstract

Baccalaureate nursing students often encounter significant academic and personal hardships that produce stress-induced anxiety. Nursing educators can foster the practice of prayer and caring with struggling nursing students as a means of helping students manage anxiety and stress. Christian educators can offer prayer when guiding and counseling students who are struggling with academics or other situations that negatively influence their progress toward professional practice. Three case studies illustrate an educator's use of prayer with students.
