Abstract

The study aimed to identify the educational implications of the educational philosophy at Yarmouk University on students from the viewpoint of faculty members. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive analytical methodology was followed and the study tool developed and applied to a sample of the faculty members at Yarmouk University, which consisted of (285) faculty members. The study found that the positive educational repercussions of the educational philosophy at Yarmouk University on the students came within the degree mostly. While the negative repercussions on them were in the sometimes degree. The study also found that there were statistically significant differences in the viewpoint of faculty members of the educational implications on the behavior of students attributed to the variable of gender, in favor of females. While there were no statistically significant differences in the viewpoint of the faculty members of the educational implications on students ’behavior due to the variable of academic rank. In addition, the study recommended the need to work on adopting a clear-cut educational philosophy by the university and not leaving the room for Western philosophies to invade the minds of Jordanian university students in all its spectrums.
