Abstract
9. I can select materials which the student will carry into his normal activities. 10. I can select teaching materials that have a strong social element. 11. I can arrange the activities which are suggested in such a manner that there will be many types of activities, ranging from the very simple concrete activity to the abstract. 12. I can arrange the material in such a manner that each succeeding problem will make growth possible, using materials previously obtained as skills or habits or attitudes. 13. I can arrange the problems so that each one leads to the achievement, by the pupil, of desirable attitudes, skills, interests, habits, and appreciations. 14. I can arrange materials so that each problem provides for cooperative practice. 15. I can arrange the problem in such a manner that the pupil will be enabled to practice integrity, with sufficient guidance to keep him from practicing dishonesty. 16. I can provide for the pupil to have opportunity to use all of the initiative which he possesses, and to develop more. 17. I can place on the student all of the responsibility which he will be able to discharge, and I can provide sufficient guidance to see that he does not assume more than he can answer for. 18. I can provide opportunities for the exploration of a rich culture.
