Abstract

This paper outlines the results of a recent study by the author carried out on behalf of the English Tourist Board. It indicates the main shortfalls in education and training for tourism in Great Britain and examines the manpower needs of the industry up to 1990. Any views expressed in this paper are those of the author alone and do not represent the views of any official or government tourist organisation.
