Abstract

Architecture in the Netherlands Yearbook was first published in 1988 and has been issued to the current in 2010 by Netherlands Architecture Institute. The editorial team mainly consists of architectural critics. It deserves to be considered as an example of architectural evaluation from social and cultural aspect. As the first half, this paper focuses on the issues until the thirteenth and studies editorial policy and methods by analyzing the organization of editors, the way to edit essays and works and themes of essays. The trial process is clarified corresponding to the changes of Dutch architectural scene from the late 1980s.
